The activity log
Every meaningful change in Momentumpro is recorded in the activity log: who, what, when, and the before/after values. Built-in, on every record, no opt-in needed.
Where to find it
- Per record — open any record (employee, invoice, asset, etc.) → Activity tab.
- Globally — Admin → Activity Log.
What's logged
By default, every:
- Create of any record.
- Update of any field on any record.
- Delete (soft and hard).
- Login — successful and failed.
- Permission change.
- Role assignment.
- Approval action — approve, reject, comment.
- Document access — for sensitive categories.
Each entry shows:
- The user who took the action.
- The timestamp.
- The record affected.
- The exact field-level diff (what was X, now is Y).
Retention
Retention is plan-based:

Within retention, the log is queryable. After retention, entries are auto-purged.
Searching the log
The Activity Log page has rich filters:
- User — what did this person do?
- Record type — every change to invoices.
- Action — every delete in the last 24h.
- Date range.
- Free text in the diff.
Exporting for an audit
Click Export → PDF or Export → CSV in the top-right. The export honors current filters.
For a full annual audit pack:
- Filter by year.
- Export PDF — generates a comprehensive document with every action, paginated.
Real-time alerts
Set up alerts for unusual activity:
- "Anyone deleting > 10 records in an hour."
- "Anyone exporting employee data outside business hours."
- "Any change to my own user's role."
Configured under Admin → Activity Log → Alerts.
Privacy considerations
The log contains user actions. It's restricted by default to Admin and Compliance Officer roles only.
