QR labels
QR labels turn any physical asset into something that can be scanned and acted on instantly — assignments, returns, maintenance, damage reports.
Generating a QR
Every asset has a QR generated automatically. To print:
- Open the asset.
- Click Print label.
- Pick a label size (Avery 5160 / 5161 etc).
- Print on standard sticker sheets and apply to the device.
What the QR does
When scanned (with the Momentumpro mobile app or any QR reader):
- Logged-in scanner — sees the asset detail page, can take actions (assign, return, maintain).
- Public scanner — sees a public-friendly page with "Found this device? Email lost@yourorg.com".
Configure what shows publicly under Admin → Asset Settings → Public QR view.
Bulk printing
When you've added 50 new laptops:
- Assets → Filter to the new ones.
- Bulk action → Print labels.
- The system generates one PDF with all the labels, ready to print.
Replacing a damaged label
If a label peels off:
- Open the asset.
- Print label — a fresh QR is generated.
- Apply the new sticker.
The QR encodes a stable ID — a new printout is the same QR, not a new code.
Practical tips
- Use weatherproof labels for outdoor or wet-area equipment.
- Place labels somewhere visible — for laptops, the bottom or palm rest.
- For vehicles, the inside of the doorframe works well.
