Grants & donors

Grants track the funding behind your programmes — who's paying, how much, what it's restricted to, and when reports are due.

Add a grant

  1. Programs & M&E → Grants & donors → New grant.
  2. Enter the donor name, a title and a reference.
  3. Record the amount and currency, and whether it's restricted.
  4. Link it to a programme.
  5. Set start, end and the reporting due date.

Budget vs actual

Open a grant to manage the detail through three tabs:

  • Budget lines — plan the budget line by line and compare against actual spend. Each line shows budgeted, spent and remaining.
  • Disbursements — record each tranche of money received, and mark it received when it lands.
  • Report submissions — track the reports you owe the donor and mark each one submitted.

Approvals & reminders

A grant can be approved (moving it from pending to active). Reporting deadlines feed automatic reminders as the due date approaches, so you never miss a donor report.
