Map & satellite view
Map & satellite view
Every property has an embedded interactive map on its Address & map tab. We use Leaflet with two free, no-API-key map tile providers: OpenStreetMap for street view and Esri World Imagery for satellite view.
What you can do
- Click anywhere on the map to drop the property pin at that location. The latitude / longitude fields update automatically.
- Drag the pin to fine-tune.
- Switch layers using the layer control in the top-right: Street, Satellite, or Satellite + labels (a hybrid that adds road names on top of imagery).
- Go fullscreen using the ⛶ button in the top-left. Press the same button or
Escto exit. - Zoom with mouse wheel or pinch on touch devices. The default zoom level is street-detail.
How the pin gets there
When a property is created without a clicked location, the map centres roughly on Israel as a fallback. Once you click or paste real coordinates the pin moves and the form remembers them.
You can also paste latitude/longitude into the input fields manually — the map will jump to that point. Useful if you have GPS coordinates from a survey or from Google Maps.
Privacy
The map only loads when you open the property edit page; no location data is sent anywhere except to the tile providers (OpenStreetMap.org for street tiles, arcgisonline.com for satellite). Coordinates you save are stored in your tenant database only.
