Add an employee

This guide walks through adding a new employee to your tenant — manually, in bulk, or via SSO.

Step 1 — Open the employees list

From the sidebar: People → Employees. You'll see a table of every staff record.

Step 2 — Click "New employee"

The button sits in the top-right of the table. The new-employee form has four sections:

Identity

  • First name, last name (required)
  • Date of birth (optional, used for the birthdays widget)
  • National ID / passport (optional, encrypted at rest)
  • Mobile, work email (required)

Employment

  • Start date (required)
  • Employment type — full-time, part-time, contractor, intern
  • Department — pick from the list, or create one inline
  • Job position
  • Work location
  • Direct manager — used for the org chart and approval routing

Compensation (visible only to Finance / HR roles)

  • Base salary, currency, period
  • Salary components — add allowances and deductions inline

Account

  • Tick Create login account to also create a User record so the employee can sign in.
  • Tick Send invitation email to email them a link to set their password.

Step 3 — Save

Click Save. The new employee appears in the list and shows up in:

  • The org chart
  • Department headcount
  • Today's "active employees" widget

What happens next

If you ticked "Send invitation email", the employee receives a welcome email with a password-reset link. Clicking it takes them to your tenant login page.

The first time they sign in, they land on the Employee Portal — the slimmed-down version of the platform that shows only what an individual employee needs.
