The org chart
The org chart visualizes the reporting hierarchy of your organization. It draws itself from the Direct Manager field on each employee record.
Where to find it
People → Org Chart in the sidebar.
How the chart is built
For every employee:
- If they have a manager set, they appear underneath that manager.
- If they don't, they appear at the top level (typically your CEO / managing director).
There's nothing manual to draw — the chart is just a visualization of relationships you've already entered on employee records.
Reading the chart
- Each card shows the employee's photo, name, title and department.
- Click a card to see direct reports.
- Use the zoom controls (top-right) to fit the whole tree on screen.
Common issues
"I see employees floating at the top"
That means they don't have a Direct Manager assigned. Open their record and set one — they'll move under that person on the chart automatically.
"An employee shows up in the wrong place"
Check the manager field on their record. The chart reflects what's there.
"I want to see the chart for one branch only"
Click any employee card to drill into just their sub-tree.
